Robbie Robertson (born July 5, 1943 as Jaime Robert Klegerman) is a rock legend, musical producer, actor and songwriter. He was a member of The Band from its inception to 1976 and was ranked 78th in Rolling Stone Magazine's "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time".

Richard Manuel of The Band

Richard Manuel was best known as one of the principal members of The Band, a group formed in 1965 from Ronnie Hawkins' back up band, The Hawks. Manuel shared songwriting and singing duties and played several instruments, including piano and drums. His suicide in 1986 ended a comeback tour for The Band and ended an era in rock history.
